What Data Is Required For Level 2 and Level 3 Processing?
On average, Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Government (B2G) companies can save over 1% in interchange costs by processing with Level 2 and 3 data. If your business processes transactions with government or corporate cards, additional data fields are required to submit payments at lower interchange rates.
Level 2 requirements
In order to qualify for Level 2 data processing, these data fields need to be inputted with each transaction
- Standard Credit Card Information
- Merchant Name
- Sales Tax
- Customer Code or Invoice Number
Level 3 requirements
In order to process at Level 3, you’ll be required to input an additional amount of information on each transaction.
- Standard Credit Card Information
- Merchant Name
- Merchant State Code
- Sales Tax
- Customer Code or Invoice Number
- Shipping Amount
- Duty Amount
- Line Item Details:
- Product / Service ID (item id)
- Product/ Service Description
- Quantity
- Item Amount
- Unit of Measure
