The Zietz family is full of big ideas.
The children of Touchsuite CEO Sam Zietz were recognized in two separate US. Chamber of Commerce Foundation competitions. You might remember Rachel Zietz, the teen CEO of Gladiator Lacrosse, whose company is projecting to hit $1 million in revenue.
She won first prize and $15,000 from the U.S. Chamber foundation in a competition that had her and two other Youth Entrepreneur Academy alumni present their startup in less than 5 minutes and then field questions from U.S. Chamber board members.
Rachel’s company produces a line of rebounders and practice goals for lacrosse players to use in their backyards.
Last week, her brother, Jordan, was awarded third place after competing for the National Young Entrepreneurs Academy Saunders Scholarship. Jordan is the founder of GameReef, a video game console and game rental business.
The $30,000 Saunders Scholarship went to another South Florida entrepreneur: 13-year-old Kayla Abramowitz from Palm Beach Gardens. Abramowitz won over the judges with her business plan for Kayla Cares 4 Kids, a nonprofit organization that collects and then donates entertainment and educational materials to hospitals.
